Thinking About Solo Cruising?

Maybe you’ve scrolled, researched, and almost booked, but something keeps holding you back.

I get it. Because I had the exact same thoughts before my first solo cruise.

Now? 30+ cruises later, I can tell you this: solo cruising is one of the best ways to travel. And once you know how to do it right, everything changes.

“Will I Feel Alone the Whole Time?”

This is the biggest fear

You’re cruising solo, but that doesn’t mean you’re isolated. Cruises are one of the easiest places in the world to meet people if you want to. Between excursions, dining, and onboard activities, there are constant opportunities to connect.

And if you don’t feel like being social? You don’t have to be.

That’s the magic of it. You can have conversations at dinner one night, then spend the next day completely in your own world - no explanations needed. It’s independence without loneliness.

“Is It Safe (and Actually Worth It)?”

Short answer: yes—and yes.

Cruises are one of the safest ways to travel solo. You’ve got structure, security, and everything you need in one place. You’re not navigating unfamiliar cities alone at night or figuring everything out from scratch.

And worth it? Completely.

You’re not compromising on where to eat, what to do, or how to spend your time. You get to fully enjoy the experience your way. Once you realize how freeing that is, it’s hard to travel any other way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not even close. Every cruise I’ve been on has had tons of solo travelers, and it's easy to meet other solo travelers onboard.

Will I be the only solo traveler?

It can be, but there are ways around it. Knowing when and how to book your solo cruise makes a big difference.

Is it more expensive to cruise solo?

Believe me, you won’t. Between shows, pools, excursions, and just exploring the ship, there’s always something to do (or not do).

What if I get bored?

Sit at the bar, join a group excursion, attend trivia or activities, or opt for shared dining. Cruises are one of the few places where starting a conversation with a stranger is completely normal - and expected.

How do I meet people if I want to?

Nope. It’s just not talked about enough. Once you do it, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.
